Dreams from My Father

Dreams from My Father is Barack Obama’s 1995 memoir, originally published before he entered national politics. The book traces his search for identity as the son of a Kenyan father he barely knew and a white American mother from Kansas, moving from his childhood in Hawaii and Indonesia to his years as a community organizer in Chicago and finally to a journey through Kenya.
