Only the Paranoid Survive

Andrew S. Grove’s Only the Paranoid Survive, published in 1996, distills the Intel co-founder’s experience navigating technological upheaval into a framework for recognizing and responding to existential business threats. Grove introduces the concept of the “strategic inflection point,” a moment when a fundamental change in a company’s environment—technology, regulation, competition, or customer behavior—alters the rules of the game so drastically that the old way of doing business no longer works.
