The Fight

The Fight by Norman Mailer is a work of literary journalism centered on the 1974 heavyweight boxing match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in Kinshasa, Zaire, known as the "Rumble in the Jungle." Mailer, who reported from Zaire for Playboy and other outlets, expanded that coverage into a book that is as much about his own fascination with the fighters as it is about the bout itself.
