In Slow Productivity, Georgetown computer science professor Cal Newport challenges the modern equation of busyness with effectiveness. "Obsess over quality" reframes excellence as the surest route to autonomy: superior work earns the leverage to set terms, and quality demands the slack that overcommitment destroys.
